Tell Your Grandparents and Parents

Most of my readers are probably under sixty but let your parents or grandparents know that it’s Senior’s Appreciation Day on Wednesday March the 7th and the first Wednesday of every month following!. Tilbury businesses will be displaying bright orange “60+ shop with us” signs to let you know they are offering special discounts for seniors! So take grandma and grandpa out for lunch, they will appreciate the time together you rotten kids.

The Chatham Kent FIlm Group Presents: “Poetry”

This evening The Chatham-Kent Film Group presents the awards winning Korean film “Poetry”. The film will be shown this evening March 5th 645pm at the Galaxy Theatre on St. Clair Street North, Chatham. Tickets are $10 for Chatham Kent FIlm Group Members and $12 for the general public. CKFilm Group asks that you please note: Our film screenings begin promptly at 6:45 pm – please arrive early. Season pass holders must arrive by 630pm in order to claim their seat. We reserve the right to sell unclaimed seats after 630pm.

London Sports and Recreation Show

This year’s London Sports and Recreation show featured over 100 vendors. There was horse rides, a zip line, MMA tournaments, blow out sales from London’s biggest sports retailers, demonstrations from local dance companies, as well as tons of accessories and out door gear. The highlights of the event were definitely the zip line and the MMA 32 man Showdown. Danage.com will be doing an exclusive interview with Alex “Pecker” Gasson who runs Pecker’d Services who promoted the 32 Man Show Down. Adrenaline Training Center and Pecker’d Services present the third installment of the ’32 MAN SHOWDOWN’ in conjuntion with the ‘Sport and Recreation Show’ held in the Western Fair District.

This year it will be held in the ‘AGRIPLEX’ building, a bigger arena to get more fans and supporters alike in to watch the action.

This year we look to bring you the best ABSOLUTE No-Gi grappling you have ever seen. Many returning champions will be competing and looking to win that title. We are also looking for some new talent to compete.
For additional bonus, we will be introducing an 8 man GI tournament to kick off the event.

** We do understand the power of GI competition and will be seeing who the best of GI is in an 8 Man ‘Absolute’ style tournament (11:15am start time)**

Brass Knuckle Therapy will be sponsoring all competitors with some gear, 1st 2nd and 3rd place will receive more swag!!

The event costs nothing for those who want to test out your skills!! For those who will be coming to watch, the $5 entry fee to the ‘Sport and Recreation Show’ is all you will pay to come and root on your favorite athlete.

The matches will be 5 minute regulation, and will follow under the Ontario Grappling Alliance’s “Principles and Code of Conduct” and also the OGA “Policies and Regulations” FILA rules will be administered for the event.
